Christopher has been a freelance writer and collector of trivia for over 20 years, as well as a quiz master and producer for theatre and television. He has written, amongst others, for the Field, the Sunday Express, the Daily Mail, the Guardian and the Daily Telegraph. He worked for eight years on Terry Wogan's TV chat show and as Associate Producer on I Never Knew That About Britain for ITV and also contributes questions for TV and radio quizzes.
His first book was the bestselling I Never Knew That About England. Volumes on Ireland, Scotland, Wales, London, the English, Irish and Scottish, the Lake District, Yorkshire, the River Thames, Royal Britain, New York and England's Country Churches followed, alongside illustrated editions of I Never Knew That About England and London. Christopher latest books are I Never Knew That About Coastal England and The Book of Christmas and he is launching a new podcast series Christopher Winn’s I Never Knew That in 2021. He is married to artist Mai Osawa, who illustrates all his books to date.
